Corporate Wellness

Companies I’ve worked with

What does every business need to function? Healthy employees!

Let’s face it, we live in a stressful world!

  • For many of us it’s sitting  8 hours at a desk staring at a screen with less than ideal posture and ergonomics.
  • For others it’s bending, twisting, and lifting heavy objects all day, many times with less than ideal form.

We are constantly exposed to things in the workplace that negatively impact our health. A recent study in the Annals of Internal Medicine showed that sitting for long periods of time is a risk factor for early death of any cause. In clinical practice I see a number of work related issues:

  • Low back injuries
  • Headaches
  • Neck pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Arm pain
  • Wrist injuries

Most of these brought on in large by occupational hazards.  Learning how to minimize these job related stressors is only half the battle. Keeping up with them physically is the other half. For that reason, I have chosen to bring the same level of chiropractic care and health education into the workplace, right to you! In clinical practice I see a number of work related issues:

What is Corporate chiropractic?

I travel to you to offer a chiropractic health experience, in the comfort of your own office. I bring all the necessary equipment, so you do not have to worry about providing anything! The first session will start with a true health evaluation that takes approximately 30 minutes per person, which includes

  • A health history
  • A movement evaluation
  • A computerized postural evaluation
  • Report of findings/recommendations
  • Treatment

This gives me the most information as to what the cause of any current problem is, and how long it has been there; it also offers insight into any future problems before they develop into something more serious.  After finding the cause of the problem, I will come up with a plan for each individual and begin treatment. A typical follow up treatment session lasts approximately 10 minutes per individual and includes

  • A chiropractic adjustment
  • Any exercises recommendations
  • Stretches
  • Lifestyle tips

This efficient 10-minute period allows for each employee to be taken care of without being taken away from their work for an extended period of time.

How often do you recommend chiropractic to be utilized in the work place?

Frequency of visits depends on the size and needs of each company, but typically varies from once per week to once per month. During each visit I will take the time to educate people on the importance of injury prevention, posture, and give general health tips for people to take home.

Benefits of having your own personal chiropractor in the workplace

Reduced health care costs- Prevent minor injuries and pains before they become a workman’s comp case. Anheiser Busch, a major US company, did just that by hiring a corporate chiropractor. They noted a 22% drop in employee sick days and a 50% drop in accident rates after hiring a chiropractor to work with them. Talk about a lot of money saved! Get rid of the problem before it becomes a real problem! Happier, more productive employees - Less pain = better mood! Let’s face it, nobody wants to be at work with a headache. Chiropractic is one of the fastest, most cost effective ways to treat musculoskeletal conditions such as low back pain, mid back pain, headaches, carpal tunel syndrome, poor posture, and many more. Beyond that, a study by Heidi Havac in 2016, showed a 20% increase in prefronal cortex function following a chiropractic adjustment to the spine. This is the area of the brain responsible for behavior, decision making, memory, and intelligence! What would your company look like with better performance and employee morale?

How much does it cost?

Cost depends on the number of employees and the frequency of visits. The example used below is pricing for a company with 20 employees located in downtown Austin.  The more employees a company has, the greater the discount on fees. Ways to hire include: Employer paid – In this case, the employer pays directly for my time based on an hourly rate. Travel time and frequency of visits are factored into the hourly rate. The more a company chooses to utilize my services, the cheaper the hourly rate will be.

Individual paid- Each individual pays for their own chiropractic care. Fees are calculated per person receiving treatment. The more people that receive treatment, the greater the discount on fees. Cash, Credit Card, Health Savings Accounts, or Personal Check accepted.  After finding the cause of the problem, I will come up with a plan for each individual and begin treatment. A typical follow up treatment session lasts approximately 10 minutes per individual and includes
